Kesar mango is one of the rarest and best mangoes, which are famous for their fruit quality, attractiveness fruit and pulp colour, taste & good shelf life. It is a mango cultivar grown in the foothills of Girnar in Gujarat, western India. The mango is known for its bright orange colored pulp and was given the geographical indication status in 2011. Kesar Mangoes are commonly known as the queen of Mangoes.
It is a small to medium-sized mango, with an average weight of 150-200 grams. The Kesar mango is named after its saffron-like color and sweet flavor, which are reminiscent of the spice known as “kesar” in Hindi.
CHARACTERISTICS
