Pickle lime are a huge large lemon comparatively very sour and juicy, served as a pickle and revered for its medicinal properties. In Kerala, it is locally known as Kari Naranga which translates as “lemon for pickling”. It is one of my personal favorite Indian pickles. It’s not that popular with the others here because this particular lemon is on the bitter side. They are either green or greenish yellow in color and roundish.
- Pickle Lime has a soft, wrinkled texture and a dull, yellow-green color.
- The lime’s natural tartness is mellowed by the preserving process, resulting in a unique flavor that is both salty and sour.
- The preserving process of Pickle Lime extends its shelf life for several months, allowing it to be stored without refrigeration.
