Matoa is a large tropical hardwood and fruit tree species native to tropical south asia, southeast Asia (Indonesia and Malaysia), and Melanesia. . This exotic fruit is a member of the Sapindaceae family, the same with leci (lychees), lengkeng (longan), and rambutan.
