Kesusu, the strangest and Coolest Fruit of Borneo.
Limpato or kesusu fruit is a variety that is seen in the humid tropics of Southeast Asia that spreads Malaysia, Sumatra, Indonesia and New Guinea. The taste of the fruit helps the plant slowly spread to other countries as well. The sweet taste and beautiful aroma of the fruit make it a favourite among the people of Southeast Asia. Kesusu is a relative of the jackfruit tree family. The edible part is the protruding seeds in orange color. The seeds are soft and loosely embedded in the fruit and easy to pull out. The surface of the seed is oily.The pulp tastes sweet with a bit of sourness. It has a very tropical aroma, sweet and tart, similar to a garcinia.
