Velvet Apple (Mabolo) Fruit Plant

Velvet apple, a healthy as well as fluffy fruit is the native of the Philippines. The fruit which is also known as mabolo has a reddish-brown colour and very sweet taste.
Velvet Apples range in color from golden-yellow to orange and purplish-red.
They can develop flat spots due to growing in tight clusters of two to four fruits, and can be anywhere from 5 to 10 centimeters wide.
The pulp is sometimes sprinkled with lime juice and enjoyed as a dessert. Mabolo is also a great source of calcium, iron, and vitamin B.
