Kerasree (Dwarf) Coconut hybrid was released by Kerala Agricultural University in 1992 for cultivation in Kerala state. It is a selection from West Coast Tall x Malayan Yellow Dwarf. This variety starts bearing from 5th year. It yields on average 130-150 fruits per tree. This variety is released for root (wilt) prevalent areas of kerala. It is found to be resistant to root (wilt) disease.
Kerasree Hybrid Dwarf Coconut is developed for wind-free areas.
